Red Cross Heroes Breakfast and Awards Ceremony

This was an awards breakfast for
The Red Cross to honor people
in the State who have done
something that has helped others
in some way. There were many who
were honored and recognized for thier everyday achievments that have changed peoples lives or have gone out of thier way to save lives. It was an incredible morning. I was honored to be asked to open with singing the National Anthem. I stepped out of my comfort zone, which I have challenged myself to do throughout my reign. I did O.K. but my nerves got the most of me. I haven't sang in public in almost 20 years. I don't think I will do it again but I am glad I did it, mostly to say I did. It was a great honor and touching to see such wonderful people like you and I be honored.
