Relay for Life

This was a lot of fun to appear at the Relay for Life at the High School in Brunswick. I was asked to make an appearance and sign autographs for The Atlantic Regional Credit Union in Brunswick who had been a sponsor to support in my efforts toward the National competition in Las Vegas. The girls were especially excited about having thier picture taken and autograph photos. Not to mention to appear for such a great cause.

Namiwalks

My husband and I joined the Mid Coast Hospital team of walkers at the 2008 Namiwalk in Portland to raise money for the programs offered by the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

This was the opening for Brunswick Family Skin Care in Brunswick, Maine. Kate Onos is a friend of mine and is sponsoring me for the year with free facials and waxing, my skin has never looked better. Thank you Kate.

Visiting South Harpswell Elementary School kindergarden class March 2008

This visit to the South Harpswell Elemenary School was so special, I surprised them by showing up in a beautiful silver gown and my crown and sash. Not only were the girls in awe so were the boys. I read them the book The Princess and the Pea and brought all the girls thier own crown and the boys rubber frogs. It was one of the girls birthaday so I also brought cookies. It was so much fun for me as well as the kids.

This was a magical evening for me and a memory I will cherich forever. I had so many of my friends and family there to support me and watch me recieve my Crown and Banner and officially start my reign as Mrs. Maine United States 2008. Kristin Center, Mrs. Maine United States 2007, was present to hand over the crown as well as Thank you's to the fiends and family who supported her during her riegn. Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino, Mrs. Maine United States 2006, as well as director for 2008, and responsible for planning the ceremony. Thank you for this Elizabeth and for helping me to live a dream. Senator Nancy Sullivan attended in support of my platform, Helping women overcome depression and post-partum depression. My three children, Robby, Wesley, and Dylan as well as my amazing husband Bob were also there to share in the experience along with me. A lot of my family and friends were in attendance and the ceremony was emceed by Tory Ryden from Channel 8 news. Tory was amazing and so funny. Thank you Tory for taking the time out of your busy schedule, it was very meaningfulto have your there. I also want to thank The Muddy Rudder for letting us have the ceremony in thier Restaurant and for taking such good care of me and my guests.
